Q: How do I change my user name?
It's not that I want to reappear on this forum under a different name. I was inspired by our debate & want to be addressed to as "non-native speaker". So, how do I edit my profile?
there has been a lot of finger pointing at other posters calling him the moderator of this forum. but i'm actually the moderator of this forum.
send me a pm and i'll tell you what you have to do to change your name.

Yes I am coming to China. My mom is better for now, and I have accepted a new position with an amazing organization, so I won't be living in China, but Toy boy and I are coming next spring for sure for about a month. Not the same as living there, but it'll still be nice :) I'll be a dreaded tourist instead of a partial resident.
I had to delete my name to get a new account (the whole purpose of my "bye" post was to get a new account name). Lost like 4600 points, but I don't even care about them. And yeah, pogger pretty much died in a bleach fire. I think he took Gaohao down with him.
Elena, I hope the debate did not put on you any bad feelings. I realized that I spent almost a day on this issue and it got me consumed somehow but I hope anything I tried to debate won't affect you but in a good way. Hopefully something good got out of it. I tend to believe this is not such a good idea to change your name. Everyone knows you here and appreciates you a lot. I am one of them, that's for sure. Keep your name because that's you.
I was thinking to change my name from Jean to John to avoid any further confusions as to my manhood. I stopped thinking about it. I am Jean. Of course you decide what to do, but I believe you should keep your user name. God bless you!

You know... I honestly don't care anymore whether anyone is a native or not, or skilled or not. I just don't care. Do whatever you can to make your life better wherever you go. If someone's willing to hire you even if you're brain dead, then just take the fracking job.
Employers should be able to hire whomever the hell they want, and for whatever reason they want - so as long as it's within the law. If they want a Non-Native Narcoleptic that they can exploit for 6000 RMB per month, and for 50 hours per day (time travelers can achieve this easily if they bring their entire class with them on said adventures... I have only done this once before... safety not guaranteed), then more power to them.
Stick around, and don't give a damn what anyone says to you, or about you. They're of no consequence and they don't matter in the grand scheme of things. Let me ask you a few questions are you here legally? If you are, doesn't it prove everything he said wrong? If you're here illegally, well, I don't give a rat's backflesh about that either.
As long as you can teach below your level, I don't see the problem. You're non-native, and you might get exploited for that, but... hey, there are plenty of schools which won't do that to you. You can move on.
Anyway, I like you non-natives here, so as long as you aren't going apechagook everywhere - but that goes for everone.
Anyway, now that I'm done ranting (I can't help it, I just love to see myself talking on the internet), the biggest problem I have with both of you NNSers (Jeaniacob and ElenaDob) is that neither of you have an avatar on the forum. See the Hulk avatar above my name? That lets you know you're about to read a post by one pissed-off idiot. If I got rid of the avatar, you'd be like "uh... this is... uh.... Generic user #450."
The second problem with you NNSers, is actually just a problem with Jeaninacob: HE'S A GUY FOR MAO'S SAKE! The entire time I thought he was a SHE, and I was like "this is a warm-hearted, friendly lady. I like her" Now I know I'm pretty much the gayest person ever for falling for this scam.
