Q: how do i get in cyber cafe(wangba)?
hi guys these days its very difficult to get in cyber cafe becoz everywhere they r asking for chinese id card..is there anyway to make id card like this? or any other way?

The only legal way to obtain a Chinese ID card is to be a Chinese citizen. Illegal ways I guess that with enough kuai and right guangxi you could manage one, but with a foreigner name and face, very hard not to be suspected.
I have tried to enter cyber cafes with my passport, I have been refused at some, two (one in Nanning, one in Guangzhou) allowed me to use computers. To avoid this, I bought a small laptop (10 inch screen) for 2,000 Rmb, and I use that when I travel away from home.

The new regulation says users of cyber cafes must show an ID card to be allowed to use a computer. It does not say passports. So, many cafes will not let you in if you are a foreigner and show a passport

Just ask nicely with a sweet smile and they let you. I use one whenever my students are downloading porn and break the internet.
Actually, you need to show an ID, not necessarily a Chinese ID card. Every Internet shop accepted my passport so far.
Else it would mean that foreigners are not allowed to use Internet cafes anymore. I guess the guys just couldn't figure out how to put your passport in their reading device.
