Q: How do you break up with a Chinese woman?

how do you make a clean break without them keep trying to get back in your life or becoming stalkers and making a scene where you live and work?

I've personally been lucky enough not to get any hardcore stalker yet. Saying that, a couple of my friends have enjoyed said experience. One made a big enough fuss at his work that company pulled some strings and took care of it (don't know the details and I'm sure I don't want to know the details). The other friend actually had to leave China for a few months until she gave up and found another laowai sucker.

A guy I know was dating a crazy stalker girl. He let his work contract expire without telling her, found a new job in another district and an apartment, and waited until she went to visit her friend on the other side of the city. While she was gone he packed up as much stuff as he could and bolted. Made a clean getaway.

Just say it straight, sorry we're done, there's no fixing it or changing, move on, don't call me or talk to me again, leave here at the table crying, don't look back. If it's someone who threatens you like 50cent (wenna7) well in China for a little money you can have all kinds of problems dealt with. Chinese women can go sideways so it's important to build "defensive" measures before hand that you can use, hence why you NEVER date colleagues, students, or anyone to close to your daily life, then your inner circle doesn't get very rippled... Also make sure all contact info is out of her phone, your number, your friends, colleagues, anyone she can contact, also MSN, QQ, SKYPE, Fetion, Weibo, etc....

Just be honest. I only ever broke up with one girl here. I liked her, but just didn't have any real feelings. So, I told her about how I felt. she was adult about it and every now and then we exchange an email.

So, all you can do is be honest and hope that's the end of it. If it isn't, deal with it then.

sophie: i would like to conduct an experiment, lets date for six months and see how you handle the break up

i know not all chinese women go psycho over a break up but my experiences here have been worse than my time in the states. maybe i'm breaking up with them in the wrong manner

crimochina , u know what, all these happened just becoz most of chinese girls take seriously every relationship , they dont date if they r not truely into you ! n u should know they r just great !!!
but me , im just not one of them, nothing more ,nothing less. i date n break up,i understand ppl go or change, n i know there's no one there for anyone, i dont believe so-called mr right,n im fine! n if u dont have feeling for me anymore , nothing i do works!!!!maybe sad for a while , but still fine!!! so , if we date , maybe u r the one who's gonna handle the break up! but i dont wanna conduct the experiment! what if u just fall in love with me!

mattaya:

sophie are you suggesting what i think your suggesting? Is this a sexcapade adventure that cannot wait to happen. Oh crimochina you finally hooked one " hook, line and sinker" baby!

according to the majority of these comments,it seemed like Chinese girls are very sticky and fond of foreigners.it might be true for some cases, but too much pejudices.after break up,everything is going to be fine.there is no:"I can not leave without you "stuff.

Don't take it personally...we all get them. Some people like to thumbs down all people. In fact if I don't get at least one on every post or comment I think something is wrong.

First, make sure of the girl you go out with... I've only had 1 Chinese girlfriend, and breaking up was easy.. we're still really good friends! (for that matter, she's the ONLY girl who I've been friendly with after the break-up). But then, she didn't like taking my money, didn't want me buying her lots of things, and feels she still has to pay me back for the things I did for her...

So, it's all in the starting point - not the ending.

You Just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free

I find that when I threathen to break up she will do anything she can to please me to change my mind.  Works wonders for many things.wink
Although I cringe at what might happen if I do end it.
