Q: How do you deal with wrinkled clothes after washing them in China?

I had a team of girls come over and massage me trying to get the wrinkles out of my clothes tonight, just wondering how the rest of you deal with this,,,, yes another stupid question

Ted, easy solution.  Just hire a bunch of college age girls (they are always looking for part time work), and after laying your clothes on your dining room table, have them sit butt naked on each of them until wrinkles dissapear.  Of course, you do take a nap while they are so hard at work !  broken heart

On a serious venus now, I do snap them a few times prior to hanging to dry, and they end up pretty decent.

Ted..if your city has the same climate as mine then all you need to do is walk outside for 5 minutes and your shirt will be steamed from the hot humidity in no time...no more wrinkles.

Or you could buy an iron and ironing board.

TedDBayer:

I acutally just bought an iron at Walmart 45Y and hid it so my Gf doesn't nag me about spending money.

Yes, but I have to hire a team of girls to come over and get the wrinkles out of my clothes. You know how slow and lazy they are. I'm just waiting for one to ask "Is that a wrinkle in your pants or are you glad to see me?" Do they even have any wittyness?

forget the wrinkles, i'm more concerned with the amount of time it takes my clothes to dry

GuilinRaf:

In guilin, it could take from 1 to four days. Here in Beijing, just an overnight!

I don't wash my clothes in Guilin, i just hang them up and they wash themselves.

Put the softener in when it's the last round of the wash, it helps a lot!

Sorry if it sounds condescending, but can't you just buy an iron?

Ummm... surprised someone hasn't mentioned it... take it to a 'laundromat' where they'll happily iron your clothes. I get mine done, often twice a week, for about 3Y per article (shirt or trousers). If I'm desperate and ir's been raining a lot, but I need them now, I could also pay for the drying (not sure of the price)

Though, I have to admit - having the team of girls come over is a better idea :)

I ended up buying an iron for 42y at Walmart, then hiding it from my girl friend because she would complain that I spent my money.

derek:

Yes, so true. I bought an iron and my mother in law couldn't believe it.

"Why would you need to iron clothes?"  she said.

There's that!
