you should give him a sign that you like him. like a wink of an eye or a smile. if he sees u like him he will think its ok to say hi.

Yes,guys sometimes are very shy,I agree. So does gals.It takes a lot of guts to tell someone you really like him.For me,I am afraid I might be not beautiful enough or maybe I am not that young.Guys also might think you are too amazing, afraid you might refuse them or maybe they see you are in rush, they dont want to bother you. A lot of reasons there also.Go,girl, take a big step to speak to the shy guy you like first.

PS:Your English is good:)

Alot of foreigners think (and maybe right) that everyone that speaks to us for no reason wants something. Try a smile and a just say ''hello''. Not all foreigners speak English. There are French, Russian etc. No English speaking French guy will say hello if you don't say 'bonjour''

Men are more inclined to speak to women than men casually. I found it rare that a woman would smile and say hello without me talking first.
If a foreign guy has a girl friend, he wouldn't say Hi.

well if you meet someone that you like just go upto them and and start a conversation you only live once, and dont be scared to tell someone you like them, dont think thats its the guys responsibility  to make the first move, and if you tell him you like him and he is not interested its not the end of the world im sure you can find another guy ow and dont mention the fact that you are looking for a foreigner

I wrote the book on attracting foreign men. I just never read it, if you know what I mean.

I would be happy to invite you , vicky and any   other beautiful young lady to my free seminar on how to attract a foreign guy (to be held in my apartment). the 2nd part, how to keep a foreign guy, is priced at 2000rmb. but if you choose to sign up for the how to please a foreign guy (private lessons only and you must sign a blank waiver), you can take the 2nd part for free.

Classes start next week , Hurry up and PM me!

my seminars have received rave reviews. one student said "first class was on how not to meet pervs from the internet. the irony is clearly lost on this creep."

a student from my last class gushed, "in the lesson about how not to let a guy touch your 'tits' , in his role plays, he never let me succeed. and these were his tips and they failed all 30 times"

try facebook / skype /msn / yahoo messenger.. search the onces at your city... start friendship... shy ones are normally very open over internet.. once you get to chat for a week.... then he will for sure ask you out if he is interested... or else.. look for another.. Laughing out loud

Here's my best advice, girl-to-girl.

If you want to meet foreign guys, find out where they usually hang out in their free time. Maybe it's a bar, or a cafe, or a coffee shop. Usually bars, sad to say--so maybe that's not the best place to go, because you don't often find love in bars. If it's a cafe or coffee shop, see if you can get a part time job there. This would help you practice your English, too. Or just spend time there whenever you can.

Or try some online dating websites. Or join Couchsurfing.com, and attend meetings in your city.

But, quite frankly, foreign men are no better and no worse than Chinese men. A lot of the foreign men that come to China are looking for just one thing (girls), and they won't stick to just one. They drink too much. They do drugs. They're running away from old problems back at home. They're not worth your time. But there are some good ones, and if you try to get past their shyness (and yours), maybe you can find what your looking for.

Good luck!

I will give you the best pickup line for an "ice breaker", just walk up to any guy and say " Is that an iPhone in your pocket or are you glad to see me?"

Everyone's being so nice here - let me balance it a little.

Your starting idea is that 'foreign' guys you meet like you and want to talk to you but don't. Why do you think that? Perhaps they're simply not as interested as you think. Just because a man checks you out doesn't mean he wants to have your babies.

I don't think I met a single shy guy in China. I met some who liked their own company and didn't need to be around people all the time, but that's not the same as shy.

Regardless, the adult thing to do is to talk to people you find interesting and see where that takes you.

For me the major obstacle is the language barrier. I may smile at a female and even have some level of attraction, but if I do not know they speak English it is unlikely I will approach them as I could not communicate effectively.

There are also the girls who have different motives. I had 1 ask me for an I-Pad after the first date and another who asked for 30,000 RMB so her grandmother  could have an operation (asked on the first date).

I simply do not find it appealing when a woman's only interest is my package, (compensation package that is).

How hard is it to understand that this website isn't a love advice board?

Not only is this not the right place, but "How to find a foreigner" makes you look superficial as hell.

Easy; you take the number 14 bus to changjinglu, get off at Pizza Hut, 3rd floor above the restaurant, number 8, mine is the blue bell, ring three times and i'll come to the door in a basque and matching codpiece. Good times baby!

Seriously,I don't understand why you want to find a foreign guy to be your bf? you want to  try something new ?or just found foreign guys are so attractive or something else.?

My point is,Don't stick with just foreign guys but other guys like Chinese, there is a Chinese saying, the more you expect, the more disappointed you will be. all you need to do is,take it easy and see how it goes.,Be friends first ,then move forward if both are ready,no point to hurry .that's what I did with my husband. I am a Chinese and My husband is an Australian . we met online  and He was in Australia at that time, after talking to each other for  around 6 months ,He came to China and we met .2 and half months later ,He moved to China for me and i went to Australia for a holiday to met  his family and friends. We got married after living together for 1 year.and my husband is Poor but I married him because of true love.its what I want. and we are so happy together.

Hope it helps.

Good Luck.

minor irritation now that im married, but my wife is not traditional , she wont let me have a small wife , mistress , etc. forgot to put that in the prenup, damn lol

You could act a little slutty, I don't know some people like that. Show some leg they might come to you. Isn't there a saying that goes: "Any woman can seduce a man" There you go you have to seduce him first!!

A:Most Chinese don't want to leave as opposed to the perception that they do. Like Ted, Tom et al said, they just want a better life. However, all of them want better lives fast, like yesterday. So we see them as conniving brats who rush to be first in line for anything, even for a sundae at Mackers. There are many who can afford to leave. They spend hundred of thousands sending their kids to the US and UK universities. The kids in the university I teach in have BMWs, Mercs, Maseratis etc picking them up at the gates, mostly the mothers send and fetch. These people are dripping cash but they don't talk about migrating, just going overseas for holidays. Here, RMB10 million means they are somebody in their own town but when the go to the US or EU, it's less than US2 million. Unless they have something to run away from I don't think the majority would leave. -- louischuahm
