I have applied to numerous jobs online. I have been looking for two months. I sent my resume to Anesl and echina cities. I am an AA female , 42, and single ,no kids. I need a new job offer in two months. My visa expires the end of July. I am currently in Anhui province. I want to relocate to a bigger city or very close to a big city. I also want 8000rmb a month with an apt. and travel allowance. Before anyway cries foul, I have three years teaching experience under my belt. I can speak Spanish and Chinese. I have taught Spanish for 6 months in Kunshan.Jiangsu. I also need to relocate to a better climate due to my health. I need a more warmer environment. I also want to live in a city with friendlier expats and locals. I am in Wuhu,Anhui and people here aren't very pleasant. I have applied for jobs in Fuzhou, Shantou, Maanshan, and Suzhou.
Any suggestions?

I assume, your looking for ESL job at Uni. Keep sending your CV to job adverts here. If you're looking for Spanish teaching position:
http://jobs.echinacities.com/jobs/search?add_sel_city=0&sheng=&shi=&ins=...
Look also at Dave ESL Cafe/China job Board:
http://www.eslcafe.com/jobs/china/
You can try and contact Unis directly through 'Schools in China authorised to hire FT':
http://www.anesl.com/schools/info.asp?province=Guangdong&keyword=University&cmd=Search
Change Province and keyword for level of the School on web link.
Good luck!

Why Fuzhou and not Xiamen? Most Unis pay less than 8000...

How it looks, I'm coming close to Fuzhou. Why not Xiamen? 'Cause it sucks

I was just telling another poster (in private), you are there forever. She's 'Non-naive' also, and has the same (similar) education as you.
My experience is that a feet on the ground approach really does work here. You could apply online, but the danger here is that you will get snared by an agent, and those tend to be complete leeches. If you live in Fuzhou, make a list of universities, print out your resume, and physically go to the universities there. I might lower my salary expectations...most Uni gigs run about 6-7K a month, but leave a lot of time left over for private jobs.

I would agree with Rachel about the feet on the ground approach. But if this is not possible as you mentioned that you are living in Anhui province, I would recommend looking up 'universities in Fujian' on Wikipedia and just contacting them directly. There will be some phone numbers on the school websites. If nothing else you can call them and hopefully find out who you should contact. Most universities will offer low starting salaries but I find that if you press them in negotiations they can always raise your salary by at least a few hundred. Good luck.
Thanks for the answers and suggestions. If i have anymore questions, I will let you know.
