Q: How much do Chinese receive for the pension?

How much do they get?

Does every person get the pension?

Is it means tested so the well off don't get it?

What age does it start?

Is there a compulsory contribution towards it when working?

Do people have private superannuation or do they just rely on normal savings and investments?

I don't know for anyone else, but my wife started getting hers earlier this year, about 1600rmb per month. I think it varies according to where and who you have worked for.
