The cost depends on how fast you want it processed, what country you’re in and if you’re applying as part of a group or not. Z visas are even more expensive (and of dubious legality), having an agency handle a visa for you can run between 8,000 and 12,000 RMB; because prices often change, be sure to ask around before you agree to a price.
