Q: How Much Money Should I Contribute Monthly?

My wife makes around 24k after taxes. I make around 10-12k monthly. Monthly expenses are around 10k. We don't plan on buying a home in the meantime.

 

She wants me to pay half my daily intake.  How much should I pay monthly?

 

We live in Shanghai if that helps.

Sounds reasonable,  if you're splitting expenses 50/50 and you have 5000 + to play with every month...
