Q: How much side work do you have in China?

My main job is less than 20 hours a week. I make most of my money teaching private students. What kind of side jobs do you have? how much can you bring in every month? I can do 25,000 easy.

My side work is pulling out my salary from my employer at the beginning of every new month.

What's this? An anonymous person asking whether or not I've ever committed an illegal act. I think I'll pass.

Twenty five thousand? You're either working day and night, stretching the truth, or make a rather high hourly rate.

I had no side jobs this past semester and it was splendid. I had free time all weekend and no traveling here and there. I think I'll continue to eschew side jobs.

No, I bet if you lived in a first teir city you could do it. Full time for a middle school for 12500 a month and then another full time at like an evening and weekend cram school at 12500. It's doable, but it would be a lot.

Good point, but that sounds like a lot of work.

Zero, zilch, nada, ling.  Although I get approached all the time by complete strangers about if I would like to teach English in my spare time, or do some other business/trade.  The extra money's not worth my already limited free time, or worth getting in deep doo-doo with the PSB.

In my effort to help make China a better place I worked as an Air Quality Inspector and offered training courses to Fluid Extraction Technicians, all for free. I spent approx 30,000 a month, why work?

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
