Enter 'tax' in search above for older threads about it. Here's one:

You counted tax without Social insurance?

FT's (some kind of) insurance is required, so my count is 633 rambonies. It might be even less in Guizhou, because we are 'high' in the mountains.

The OP asked about tax. That's what I quoted.

The he link I shared will also calculate social insurance for foreigners. Though how many cities/provinces currently enforce social insurance on foreigners? Not many.

What sort of insurance do you pay? Employers are supposed to provide medical insurance.

Yeah, mandatory Medical insurance is Law requirement for FTs.

Rep at my new place, has Release letter. She told me, she's waiting for FEC Cancel cert. and last Medical insurance file.

It looks, MI history or something connected to previous Insurance is required, when you're changing working place or maybe that's requirement of new Guizhou insurance Co.

I looked closely at your link, because I am in the same bracket (12k), and I don't really understand difference (insurance or no) on link.

Unfortunaqtely that website only calculates soclial insurance for a limigted number of citites.

Gross pay of 12k......

With only tax taken out you'll take home 11115 (885 tax)

With tax and social insurance taken out (best case Wuhan!) you'll take home 10053.40 (619.60 tax and 1327 social insurance).

So best to work somewhere that doesn't enforce social insurance on us! Especially as it also costs the employer a further 3744 in social insurance (again, Wuhan rates)
