Let's have general statistics to see who how much have ordered on 11/11 and how much is going to order on 12/12. I have personally spent only 1.5k on 11/11. But when my Chinese friends heard me talking about this amount they laughed and said it's a too small value for that particular day. Well, but I think I spent a lot.
Now my friends are discussing they shopping plans for tomorrow (12/12). I'm out from the discussion this time, simply don't wanna spend money.
Just wanted to ask everybody here to share their experience on this. Anything you would like to share, just to help to have a general picture of the situation :D
I just bought my usual daily bottle of Scotch.
Wait... was 11 11 a friday? If it was, I most likely bought 2 packets of cheese and onion crisps. I need to pack up with absorbants for my 2 bottle Saturdays.
What did you buy OP? New strings for your guitar
BHGAL:
366RMB just now delivered......... 3 dozen beer.... 2 cartons of smokes and a case (24?) of them mini baiju things
now I am broke for a monthI just bought my usual daily bottle of Scotch.

- Only in China. The reaction makes you feel insecure, and it makes me feel glad I'm not Chinese.
Never forget: Any talk about money in China is ALWAYS a pissing contest. One-upmanship at its purest.
iKoko:
Yeah, probably you are right.
Well, at the same time my international friends were also laughing at me and calling me stupid to spend that much. Probably that's the reason why I asked this question here.. wanna see how laughable I am LOL
around 6k on Double-11. But that includes Christmas Gifts for everyone! (:
Today looking at a nice terrycloth bathrobe. but really did all my holiday purchases on 11/11.
Admin, now this is a decent try.
I'm not a mindless zombie. There was an article about Americans receiving orders from China that they never ordered, you see, that's how they prop up their numbers
iKoko:
I'm not American, and my question was genuine.
I don't know what kinda articles you read, but that article has a funny. Do you have a link to it, I wanna see who's the author?

I already knew you were Chinese, I don't expect you to understand what I mean
iKoko:
Nah, bad guess... not Chinese either...
But thanks for sharing the links, haven't heard of that topic before.
well, I broke my self-promise and spent about 800¥ on Western foodstuffs... Jif peanut butter, flour tortillas, cheese dip, nacho chips, cheetos, vienna sausage, real butter, buncha hotdogs, baked beans, muesli, some sound French mustard... etc., etc. ,,, haha,,, I'm gonna be munching good !!
also sprung for two more hardbacks:
The Fault in Our Stars
Gone With the Wind (a gift)
iKoko:
Well.. sounds nice. Nice food is always a +. I personally never tried to save on food in China, although western food here sometimes can be very expensive compared to the prices of local goods, but still compared to home it doesn't make too much of difference
