Q: How safe are 2nd hand furniture?

A sofa, for examples. Do you have to disinfect it after buying? I wouldn't want it to be full of bugs crawling up in my flat!

I would say it is as safe as it would be in any other country.

Could you expand on why it is not like Europe?

I have not bought any second hand furniture here yet, but I would consider it, and check it before buying it the same way I would in any country.

Why would i pay full price, plus the Westerner fee, to keep a sofa for a few months? It's way easier to buy a used one, especially since 2nd hand market is large enough here!
