Q: how is your research in China going?

let the good times roll

and the unintended consequences.

i feel for the elites here, plagiarized research is better than no research at all.

of course there goes the academic global rankings down the toilet, still laughing about a beijing university ranked higher than MIT for engineering.

Any other unintended consequences we can speculate on with the coming internet censure brainwashing matrix of idiocy.

“Without Google, academic research and study will definitely be adversely affected,” one Chinese university professor told the SCMP. “Baidu has absolutely no use for my work,” he continued, referring to local Google alternative.

My favorite line in the article, reap what you sow, like a guy still firing a gun as he falls 200 meters off a building to his death, but, but , it was the right thing to do.

Actually... pretty good! I have access to a university library back home, so don't need google scholar (and, even if I did have it, I still wouldn't be able to access most of the articles I want... you need to pay for those!)

But, in absence of that - it would probably suck!

A:I think the first "not smart" thing you did was to think of everyone as a subordinate. They are in fact your team members. You are also a team member and your role is to supervise, not flex your muscles. It drives you nuts when your boss does this and then you do exactly the same thing. Think about it. Adapt, change, bend the rules and be more efficient. -- iWolf
