I went to Beijing last month for five days and it was all blue skies. My friend in Beijing says it's blue skies now. Meanwhile in Shenzhen it has been noticeably greyer and smoggier the past few weeks. What kind of strange sorcery is going on?
It's milky blue right now out here in Xinjiang. Sometimes it's blue blue. Not like blue blue in Australia but not too far off. At night you can sometimes see a star.
usually a nice pretty blue with a few clouds (cumulous?) but also days when it is pretty foggy, hazy and vis is about 1-2 km. Shandong province. (not my China home, but where I am now)
Suzhou, since 2 years:
* The good days : milky blue, that goes to plain milky white at the horizon
* The average days : milky blue with a greyish tint, that goes to milky grey at the horizon
* The bad days : brown/orange at the horizon, greyish blue elsewhere.
Today was average +.
I'm in the sunny Henan. Not much else, but daily sunny weather in Kaifeng. It looks this town will beat Dalian, which was the first city in China, where I could periodically see sky, sun, and use shades.
They have riots in Chongqing, because gov. prohibited 'smoking ham in the outside pits', but 'smoking pork' is the long standing tradition in Sichuan, CC teli said last night. Sichuaners are looking for sunny, blue sky.
seaside ugly... it is gray hazy and cold (13 and feels to me like -13).. calm and ugly... I do not like the weather today.
