China aren't that keen on Muslims. If you come from a country such as Algeria and your name is Mohammed, Akbar or Khalid then don't expect a warm reception. Not that I have a problem with Muslims - thoroughly nice chaps and chapesses. Salaam aleikum.

He's from Algeria. Smart money says he's Muslim. I'm just trying to be straight with the guy. Sure CCP hates religion. They sure as hell hate Islam the most considering Uyghur separatism and the fact that hundreds of Uyghurs have joined ISIS and that Chinese Muslims are Sunni like ISIS. Better to let him know the truth rather than for him to waste his time.
They can barely learn English here, let alone French.
Go somewhere developed with fewer huns floating around and you'll be fine.
Can you go to Saudi Arabia or Bahrain or somewhere like that?
Sad reality, Chinese employers will hire native French people anytime because they are White, even if they have this very heavy French accent when speaking English, but French people of Northern African decent will have a much harder time to find a job in China, especially teaching.

Apply for English teaching jobs as a fluent English speaker. Pass the interview, then suggest your work visa is issued on account of you being a French teacher. They want English teachers... so pretend to be one. But the school employs you as a French teacher. Thats how it works.
