Q: i need an advice

I feel i little bit ashamed to ask this question. But i feel into a trap.I came 2 years ago in China for a foreign company, hoping they would have started business here. They wouldn,t.I decided to stay, because going back, for many personal reasons was hard enough.I am european, not native, with master,s degree.I started some part time teaching, facing difficulties as a not native.Later i found a full time job in a kindergarten. It makes me very tired,i only work and sleep. The salary is enough to survive decently but small savings. As a single woman, its hard to find a date here, considering my age 39.I am good looking, but it seems that the only thing happening is that i am getting older.I dont want to go back to home country,as i said ,for many reasons. What would you do if you were me?

I signed in with my handle at first, and never asked advices as 'anon'.

Answer to your question depends on what visa you're in China. You can legally work in China only with Z visa/Residence permit.

If you're working with any other visa, your employer can (probably does) take advantage of you as 'million scheduled hours per week' and so on, because you cannot seek help from Chinese Government.

Sign in with your handle and tell us, what visa you're holding.

Tell more data from your Contract also (hours required, benefits - housing and other bonuses).

No need to be ashamed! You're not the first one with similar experience.

You're a survivor. Kindergarten is a hard job but you gotta do it. There are harder jobs.

I know that kindergartens are tiring but you only have to work 3 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon, maximum. So It doesn't make you work and sleep, do you have any other job aside ?.

Is it real?no

Anyways, I will be sincere on this one.  I don't like China that much and I do not like Chinese women, I want to move out but it is very difficult for me to find a job somewhere else at this time. I feel trapped too but cannot complain. I know everybody will say I should go back to my country if I don't like it here and blablabla but sometimes life does not give you better choices and you must stick with what is working at the moment. I have the feeling if I stay in China too long I'll become a very lonely person. If this post is real I understand the feeling and my advice would be to jump out of here, go somewhere else where you feel you can belong and make a real life, however I don't have the balls to do it myself.

I'm curious, why posting an anonymous question when we are all already anonymous here?

I would actually call BS on this question.

there are certain things the poster says that no European woman would put in such in a question.

I am not talking about the English used, which uses certain phrases i have only come across in China.

laowaigentleman:

It's definitely posted by a Chinese man. Perhaps he's trying to figure out the game plan of lonely foreign women?

Haha. If this is real, then I say you should leave. You have options to teach in other countries, don't stay in China unless you absolutely have to and have no other options. You say you are 39, and it appears that you are looking for companionship or even a relationship, but from my experience, the only guys you will be able to find are married ones who just want sex from you or to learn English. And honestly, most Chinese men are not worth your time. I've been through 20 of them, old and young, in the past 8 months and they are a complete waste of your time. Even sex with Chinese men is absolutely,  100%, a WASTE OF TIME...No seriously, during sex with Chinese men, I find myself thinking about a million other things I could be doing that would be more fun..like cleaning my toilet, or counting the seconds it takes for the water to drain from the top of my flower plant to the bottom.

I don't work that much at all, and I'm still tired. I'm only 24, and already planning my retirement...I couldn't imagine doing this at 39..不可能。

Do some research online for other options you might have in other countries as far as work. South America perhaps?...sexy men there, who are 1000x better than any Chinese man. Good luck.

ilcornalito:

Yeah!!! Points for South America!!!!

But no jobs there, forget it, I left my country 12 years ago and it's still as poor as then.
