Will Chinese courts be completely impartial, and not more readily side with the potential Chinese culprit?
Exactly how well enforced are our rights here in China?

I do not recall an actual case from Court records, but if you take into account other experiences, even with an air tight case against the local person, if he does not admit in Court that he is guilty, and says he is innocent, the chances of winning a favorable decision are very slim, and could become very embarrasing for the Lady involved.
You will be better off to think that you have no rights at all, and avoid even getting close to problematic situations as a way of life.
It's 10X worse than if it was a local. You hold a different passport than them. Which makes the case global. If the lady says she was a victim she can hire a lawyer from her own country. As long as the lawyer has a license to practice it will all come down to the justice system. The justice system is not as bad as one may think. They have executions in China still yearly so the punishment for that offense although wouldn't warrant an execution the person could be sent to jail for a long time. Man or Women.

Foreign lawyers cannot practice law in China. Only Chinese citizens may practice law here.

So far the women I know who've been raped didn't win their case nor get any kind of compensation.
Probably a far better chance than if she were a local.
