As I understand it, and please bear in mind that a tourist (L) visa has three dominating parameters, and they are : validity, number of entries, and number of days allowed to stay per entry.

So, if you extend your stay at PSB, you are only changing one of those three. Unless you have multiple entries, or in case of two entries still have one left, then you can do as you say. But if you only had one entry, or already used the two in the case of two entries, then you are out of luck.
