Q: if the student visa is cancelled by a school, what are the consequenses for staying after?

Im not asking about staying on purpose for a long period of time, thats pretty much clear. But maybe theres someone who faced that kind of situation when you just dont have enough time to leave the country ? Like few days or something

Chinese police doesn't take Exit-entry laws disrespect lightly. I exited China once on the last day of (F) visa. I had flight from Tianjin to Shenzhen, and plane had around 10h take-off delay.

I arrived to Luohu some 7h already in 'no visa' day. Had to exit queue in separate office. After an hour wait, cop lady asked me for the delay reasons, and warn me: 'Don't do it again!', in other words 'there's a record of violating Exit-entry laws'.

Never had any problems entering China/getting visa after that, but I always plan exit off China at least day or two in advance.

You should be able to get a 30 day L (tourist) visa. Go and ask at the entry-exit bureau
