Q: If you are married and live in China, who cooks in your family?

If you are the husband, do you cook more often?  Or if you are the wife, do you cook more often?  Which of the two is the better cook?  Do you cook Western-style?  Chinese-style?  A mix of both?

the chore is shared between the adults and I assist by washing and cutting the Vegies

but only about 10% of the time

as for actually cooking 1% on a good stay

does taking them out to a restaurant get any points?

I rarely cook. My wife cooks a lot but her mother, brother and especially her brothers wife also drop around and all get together to cook up many dishes quite often. They are all very good cooks. I make the occasional pasta but mostly eat local food so my main contribution is that I will sometimes help with preparation like chopping or cleaning fish etc. I do a fair bit of cleaning and washing up though.

I also always prepare the beer.

It depends ,who is free and who is busy, obviously, the free person need to do the cook. Honestly,My cooking is better as we cook Chinese food mostly. My husband does most of the cooking nowadays cause I am so busy with my work,His cooking is getting so much better.

he cooks Western food sometimes, not often, like 1 or 2 times each week.

I am gonna learn how to cook western food,Must be interesting.

My wife cooks most nights since I come home late from work and she usually cooks something simple when she's at home by herself or eats at her parent's house. I cook on my days off or on holidays because I enjoy it and I'm a freakin boss in the kitchen yo.

In my home I am not allowed in the kitchen unless something needs to be fixed.  Generally cooking is done by my mother-in-law, maid and wife.

The only time I get to cook is when I want western food and then I cook just for myself.  (Okay, I cook a bit more since my boys will insist on having some of whatever daddy is eating.)

Most of the time, my wife is cooking, coz she is at home with our son, so she have a time, but weekends, are usually my days for cooking. Let my wife have a rest and enjoy nice food from her husband. I mix the way, sometimes I do chinese food, sometimes czech food, depend on my mood and taste. This holidays i made mashed potatoes with meatloaf, and my son was crazy about it. I was so happy that he eat so much angel he is sticked with mom's rice, and barely eating my own food. but, things going change seems like.
