It depends on your tolerance for wasted time. That is a long haul to do every day. Depending on where-to-where, it could take more than an hour each way.
For my tolerance level, I don't accept more than a 15 minute commute unless I am driving (or having my taxi paid for).
i agree with john. suzhou-shanghai, as far as i know takes 45 mins. then plus the travel time from the train station to ur office. not really convenient.
why the hell would you want to do that anyway?
You can find cheap accom. on the outskirts of Shanghai. You dont have to live all the in Suzhou
I haven't forgotten my commute time when I lived in America: 1 hour and 10 minutes driving in rush hour traffic. Suzhou to Shanghai is a breeze by comparison, napping on the D-train. I did Wuxi to Shanghai often enough to know. It might be worth it to you if you like your diggs in Suzhou.
