Q: Is it more efficient to travel with a bike than taxi in 2nd-3rd tier cities?

That's bike or E-electronic bike. The distance is about 12-14 kilometers (1 hour by bus) from the outskirts of my city to downtown (city center). Would it be faster to use a taxi or bike or e-bike and does rush hour make one or the other a better choice? I know during some rush hours I can sit in the back of a cab for 20-30 minutes for just one intersection, so in this case would using an bike or e-bike be any better? how good are e-bikes on battery power...can you run out of battery at the worst times...say the middle of nowhere in a 2nd-3rd tier type city?

E bike is best transportation in my experience in China...hands down very little hassle...14 miles should be easy to handle

I agree, don't know anybody could survive without an e-bike in my home town.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
