Q: Is it possible to teach English to 12th graders in China?

I teach English at the best high school in Shenzhen, and there are no classes for foreign English teachers for 12th graders. They just keep their Chinese English teachers.

I was wondering if anyone in public schools can teach 12th graders or not.

This seems to be the case in the Universities as well, we usually only teach 1st and 2nd year students..even the english majors. When I taught in middle school I actually taught the seniors which was not the norm!

At my English center we teach in house classes on the weekends and have contracts to teach at individual schools during the week . One of my coworkers teaches 11th and 12th grade students as part of his outside locations . I envy him , I have 6th & 7th graders Angry
