Q: Is it true that Chinese doctors accept bribes to perform better?

I've heard Chinese friends tell me horror stories of doctors doing half-hearted operations and not dispensing the best anesthetics to those who don't offer them extra cash. My friend said she had no choice but to give 5000 RMB extra to a doctor operating on her husband to guarantee that he would pull through. Has anyone heard of similar stories? This is horrifying!

Not only Chinese culture do it, but as far as I've seen, all the doctors are accepting bribes.
