In the case of medical emergencies, what happens in China ? I have heard that they let people die in the streets if they don't have cash in hand. I have heard that ambulances don't give a puck and can take hours to get to the emergency. Also, do they use sterilized medical equipment in China?
thanks

Yeah, I heard that too. If it's a real expensive procedure they definitely won't go through with it, but if it doesn't cost as much I'm sure they can figure a way to help save the person.
You should know that there are many hospital malpractice's all over the world not only in China. So yes sometimes you might find a case here or there where a person was infected with HIV or any other diseases because of people not sterilizing the equipment or re-using old needles.
It's a rumor but nobody has survived to actually confirm!
to avoid this situation, teach english at a medical school part time and find the female leftover doctors that are still single in their thirties and make a few friends. the female doctors are obviously smarter than the male doctors , look at your students for that observation.
make sure you have their number for an emergency and they know you will give them a big red envelope, so when you have an emergency, they take care of everything.
crazy system but it works.
Yes, but they will then sell your organs and give the money to your family so they can afford the treatment you need.
The good thing is, they will always ask permission before they sell your organs, to pay the hospital bills. The downside is, they don't always ask permission before they take them out.
If you do die, they will take the money in your hand.
A friend of mine was stabbed 8 times by some thugs here. He was in a cab at the time and the driver took him to the local hospital.
They saved his life before asking if he had any money.
The bill was still pretty huge though at the end of his stay (3 weeks).
They will let you die even if you are stacked with dough. But you will have less money at death.
I went to a hospital with blood oozing out of my gaping leg wounds. I figured they'd accept credit/debit cards, and that would be that, right? WRONG. "Please come back when you find money, we don't accept cards."
We had to travel by taxi, again, to get to the bank. So I'm standing at the ATM with this twin river of blood draining off of me, and... I just decided to go to the pharmacy and put my first aid skills to good use. No sense dealing with these money-worshippers.

There was a teacher at my school with diabetes. He was warned not to drink alcohol but promptly did so.
After suffering a heart attack he was carted off to hospital. The Insurance company deemed his heart attack was 'self inflicted' as he was told to avoid alcohol and they refused to pay for his treatment.
His parents and friends begged and pleaded for the hospital to treat him as he could die but they refused!
His folks ended up taking out a 2nd mortgage to pay. The hospital really was prepared to let him die.
