Q: Its a simple questions, what will China do "with us" if North Korea?

Its a questions we all need to ask and hopefully find out an answer.

If the U.S attacks the DPRK first, what will China do to us or with us or to our visa's. The British have already stated they will help us and back us up.

So for every country involved what will China do? Cancel our visa? Refuse the next renewal? or Nothing as nothing was happening?

We can actually feel for the first time that something really "might" happen at this point, its gone too far for nothing to happen, its either back to the talking table or war.

I like the quote I heard about the Nazis', "We turned our eyes away from the fire that grew into that became the Nazis regime". Now that same meaning is happening again.

So what do you feel China will do to us U.S.A guys working or married in China and to the countries that are helping us?

Be realistic.

Oh man that's a complicated question - who really knows?

One thing I am sure of is that if there is any form of U.S vs China, whether it be actual fighting, hurt feelings, major disagreements as to how it is been handled or whatever then I think there will be some blowback on foreigners in China. The extent of the blowback would probably depend on how badly feelings have been hurt.

If China is trying to preserve the relationship they have with the west then they may try to stay as neutral as possible and put the blame on NK in their media to try to keep the people from going off the deep end and rioting in the streets, smashing up Walmarts and that sort of thing.

And that's the other thing people should be considering. The locals and how they would react.

The govt may not necessarily pull people's visas but they could easily get the nationalistic fires burning then stand back and watch as people get beaten up in the streets, restaurants get trashed etc. They did it before with the Japanese.

Watch the situation closely people and if possible, have an exit plan in place.

ironman510:

Hong Kong is mine. Gosh it makes us wonder what the expat groups over in South Korea are actually thinking? Talk about a difficult exit plan if you live there , flights would be suspended if any attack, they would be there and stuck there through out the entire event. Also a small tip I'll have to use in sloppy English: ship yr mula or bucks out, I've already started.

If you're in Korea and wait until it happens you're going to be too late. Even if there are still flights can you imagine trying to get on one?

I think the best way to approach these situations is to have a plan to leave when certain things happen rather than wait until it's too late. It wouldn't be easy deciding what those were and it would obviously be subject to change but I don't see how else you could do it.

For example : If Trump announces US is going to initiate military action... that's your personal red flag of discomfort where you buy your tickets that day. If NK makes the first move and China is sticking with their intention to stay neutral if NK starts it stance... hold off on buying tickets unless you see signs of the media blaming US for the problems.

And I fully agree with your mula idea.

I has visa company application copy and paste unrelated to question. Wait...
No, I answered something similar to this a few years ago about escaping to Hong Kong in the event of hostilities. I don't think that's a viable option anymore. The Fragrant Harbo(u)r is just as likely to round up citizens earmarked for concentration camp. One would hope that there's warnings for U.S. citizens and/or mass deportation. We'll never know until missiles start flying.

ironman510:

That's not gonna happen like this copy and paste sh*t. I do believe there would be more officer's on the street but not a deportation event. Depends on Trump and Xi's agreements in the office.

There are no active Travel Alerts or Travel Warnings at this time.

This is from the South Korean U.S Embassy NEWS website. It's best to check it from time to time for any news if the Trump & Kim escalations continue.

My bet is, not a thing will happen to Westerners residing in China.  The game is played a lot differently than in the 40's.  I doubt any military action anyway, but even if there were to be, the Trumpinator and 11 would be in cahoots about it.

Too bad no one has the cajones to stand up to that fat little demon.  If the published accounts are correct, he runs that state like a true horror show.  He and his cronies living the life of Riley blowing money on luxuries and military shit while commoners are starving and he will torture / execute any who cross him.  It's weird how PRC allows him to run that country, which is basically a semi-autonomous PRC province imo. I guess people don't care if others are fkd at the end of the day, we are all blind lemmings enjoying our own comfort-zone and basically ignoring the vast majority of the world's population that lives a life of poverty, squalor, misery, desperation, and fear.

Now, where did I put my phone?

As the latest, Vlad took Xi's position as the main protector of 'Fat Belly Jr.'

https://www.globalresearch.ca/donald-and-vlad-they-spoke/5615110

excerpt:

"The two presidents spoke about North Korea. Some years ago, Russians had supported sanctions against DPRK (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the official name of North Korea), and the Americans had no problem in passing a sanctions-enforcing resolution in the Security Council. Not anymore. Last month, the Russians made a radical shift on Korea.

Now they are strongly against sanctions likely to economically strangle the country and definitely against military action there. So, the Russian position has become quite close to the North Korean one, surprisingly more so than that of the Chinese, although Chinese trade with Korea dwarfs the Russian trade. If the Americans want the North Koreans to stop their nuclear tests, Putin said to Trump, they should refrain from carrying out large-scale military exercises. The Russians also want to encourage North-South dialogue. Such dialogue had been very successful and popular in its time, but then the US interfered in South Korean elections and blocked pro-dialogue politicians. The Northern rulers, however, would like the dialogue to resume with unification of Korea in mind. The Russians and their Chinese allies object greatly to the American THAAD missile defence system being installed in South Korea."

USA & Ruski have bigger thing also going on in Syria, so I don't think China will be that much involved if Trump-a hit N. Korea ....

*But despite a claimed "diplomacy and aid" presence, (US) AFRICOM has launched 500 airstrikes in Libya in the last year alone, and U.S. forces have regularly carried out drone attacks and commando raids in Somalia.

*In May, for example, a Navy SEAL was killed by al Shabaab militants in Somalia while “assisting partner forces,” according to AFRICOM. Earlier this month, four Special Forces soldiers were killed in an ambush while providing “advice and assistance” to local forces in Niger.

*U.S. troop deaths or scandals are frequently the only mechanism by which Americans come to know about military deployments to African nations like Niger.

*Every day, 5,000 to 6,000 U.S. personnel are deployed across the African continent.

*These near-constant training exercises, missions, and activities with troops from Benin and Burkina Faso, Cameroon and Chad, Gabon and Guinea Bissau, not to mention Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, the Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Togo and Uganda, among other nations, remain largely unknown to most Americans.

While North Korea hasn't fired a ballistic missile since mid-September over alleged concerns of further retaliation from China, Russia has no such qualms, and on Thursday night, Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in strategic nuclear forces command and control drills, and personally launched four ballistic missiles.

"I'm Not American" - tshirts with translations in Chinese, Korean, Arabic and Russian. I'm expecting to become a millionaire from expats and tourists around the globe.

I think we will be rounded up and escorted to the border.

I think foreign owned manufacturing plants could be put under government control.

Exports would stop.

Consider the export thing. I went on a bike ride today. Got annoyed over a massuve Amway factory.
It blocked my natural progess of my round island ride.

As I was feeling anoyed, I wondered if the US Sec of education had visited this plant. I thought probably yes, cos she has a massive share in it after all.

Would she, a Trump cabinet member, be happy if China blocked exports and took ownership of foreign investment?

ironman510:

Please don't get me started with Amway, broke up with with the craziest Chinese girlfriend who put her whole life and dreams into Amway and annoyed the hell out of me. She kept telling how Amway would make her rich and if I put my money into it I would be rich too, but till this day she hasn't made it to the rich side. God we had arguments partly my fault because I told her Amway was a scam.
