I like rice and noodles, just not for breakfast.
I'm a bacon and egg and toast guy, or ham, or sausage(not Chinese wiener - spam), hash browns and I like a little fruit with my breakfast.
just peaches and toast is good - most any fruit and toast .... note it is TOAST, not any old bread.
waffles or pancakes is not something I do or did at home, but I do like/love them as a treat. IHOP is good once in a while!!
so, ..... rice and or noodles for breakfast, I don't think so. it just isn't Right, so much for my assimilation.
My favorite meal of the day and I agree with many of the "experts", the most important meal of the day.
sometimes I have 2 cups of coffee, honey. no sugar and no milk. 2-3 times a week. I grind my beans.
hope you enjoy your breakfast today!
no way. home made bread + butter / cheese + fresh veggies or ham or eggs or bacon, or honey or yoghurt and jam. sometimes outside get that jiang bing or what they call it. it was common to eat baozi from shops, but almost ruled out now. but in no way noodles or rice or oily baked dumplings with soy sauce and peperoni...
I usually have fried lamian with meat and vegetables around 9am, 5RMB for regular size, 7RMB for a big XXL cup across the street from my office. The couple running the place is hilarious, in their late 30s, the woman clearly wear the pants and the man is in mode "whatever", I never got sick from it, the place is quite clean by Chinese standards and the noodles taste great. Eat there or take out.
Sure, a meal you enjoy helps to set the day's mood. Of course, the morning start with a coffee and news-reading, to get the "engine" up to nominal power.
No rules for my breakfast, as far as it makes me happy and it's convenient to get. I usually take something called "jiang ping" or "jiang bing", not sure : something in between a pancake and a think pizza paste, with a layer of spicy space thing. I also take a bun with either fried radish or fried chives & eggs. Very happy with that. Occasionally, I take a pancake with fried egg, spicy sauce, pepper and lettuce. The couple who run the place is nice, they talk a bit with me, we smile and say "hi" to each other.

I eat rice once in 2 weeks. Noodles? I'm pasta fan, but I prefer 'vermicelli' or 'spaghettini' instead. I don't have problem with eating pasta twice a day.
I don't really have the extra c a s h, but I would like a couple of nice bowls of Kellogg's Corn Flakes with some nice cold 2% milk. I also love oatmeal with just a bit of butter, milk, sugar. Of course toast, real coffee, OJ, are nice accompaniments to both.
I dont eat rice noodles for breakfast,I have a chicken and peanut butter sandwich
i never eat a chinese breakfast, so during the week its a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Cruch and a muffin and yoghurt and the weekends is time for the pancakes and sausages and bacon and eggs. Eggos or pop tarts if im in a hurry.
Not always easy to find a real breakfast sausage but i can usually keep a stock.
ice coffee in my work apartment. random snack at the family home, after i bathe the kids. the kids keep us up late, so lunch becomes our breakfast. i still wake up earlier than the rest, but that's because I do less house cleaning and breastfeeding.
China doesn't really have rules for what is breakfast food, what is lunch food, and what is dinner food.
I, though, still am used to having certain food for certain meals (more or less). Coffee/tea and oatmeal is what I have as my go-to breakfast, with French toast if I'm feeling like putting more work into cooking.
The rest of my diet is Chinese, but breakfast is "western." Eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, cereal, oatmeal, pancakes, or french toast. If I'm traveling I can tuck into some baozi in the am. Congee is definitely off the table.
Oatmeal with honey, raisins, and milk. Banana, Hard boiled egg, Coffee.
