Q: KAPLAN! Anyone know anything about them?
This week I received an email form an agency (EZjobchina) with regards to a possible teaching position in Wuhan. They requested my details, ad copy certificates which I sent. All documents are embossed, important numerals from the passport deleted This is for personal security and possible Identity Theft. Later in the afternoon I received another email from KAPLAN requesting that I complete a very detailed questionnaire with regards to the same position. It also seemed like I would be working for them.

I bought some ACT study book from Kaplan way back in 2001 or 2002 when I was going to take the ACT in high school. Pretty cool story, I wasn't a senior yet, but I was already ahead of the game. A long story put short, I was listening to bands like 3 Doors Down and Nickelback, and Creed, even though they were already at their peak at that time. What about my ACT test you say? Ah, well, I did well enough to get me where I am today. China. Do you smell that?

High salary offers, but oncd you discuss details, it becomes clear that only 7k is base salary, and the projected 25k is mainly from optimistic overtime and demo payment projections. Very fantastically optimistic. Bloody scam-style job offers. I steered clear after discussing one offer with them, but they may be a decent employer if you can tolerate their 'style'.
