For me I think those kids are really lucky that this got exposed.

I didn't say the root cause was nationality, it's due to education, result of brainwashing, govt restrictions, cultural primitive mindset.
Ask yourself this question, disregard for human life, is that a common trait of mainlanders? You seem to be trying to avoid truth. From my 10 plus years in China, going out every day, taking the bus, associating primarily with mainlanders, communicating with university students on a daily basis. Watching them publicly joke about rape on numerous occasions in their presentations, listening to the countless times I've heard in class that all Japanese should be killed or should have been killed, hearing the laughs when the earthquake struck Japan formed the words I say not blind wishful thinking.
I get the full Chinese experience every day, I talk to the level headed Chinese and get to know what really goes on in schools and how they're taught to hate.

It might have been the last three lines that brought on all the downvotes Alan.
When someone says the kids deserved it, the little bastards should die and that she'd abuse kids too given the chance it's a bit hard to see any positive message there.
Is this one designed to outrage? I'm a little confused as to how genuine this post is. Surely someone can't be that awful/drunk?
Hotwater:
It’s a genuine post & case. There’s at least 4 topics on the Reddit China sub on this. Seems possible the kids were being drugged then abused/raped.
I can’t post well in replies due to popups so will post here. This is all over Reddit today. Some links:

I was reading about that earlier, sick f***s need a bullet if you ask me.
Maybe just as disturbing as the teacher's actions is the fact that the story is, or was at least, being censored. What's that about?

Oh I know the case is genuine, I was on about the post. It's a bit odd.

If you are talking about RYB kindergarten then this is the article I have read. https://www.sixthtone.com/news/1001237/beijing-kindergarten-investigated...
RYB is no mickey mouse, it is founded by three mainlanders who get the company listed in NYSE, ie go public, grabbing tons of cash.
For the behind the curtain info you need to read local articles. The annual gross revenue of this Beijing origin kindergarten for 2014, 2015, 2016 respectively are, usd 65 million, usd 83 million, and 1.08 billion. Just the first half of 2017 its revenue amounts to 64 milion, a whopping increase of 31% over the same period of 2016. Have you ever heard of a kindergarten having that kind of growth?......
The background of the three founders and the shareholders involved is what makes this case particularly suspectible to 'social harmonisation'.
The abuses are not new, before it goes IPO in America there are reported cases of abuses along with a 30+ pages report. Buried (go figure by who and how). Look at the amount of money involved. Just like gutter oil reporting, the reporter can end up getting an early departure from the physical dimension.
If you want to know what really goes on about this case read the local articles (or ask someone to help you) quickly because given the amount of money involved and the guanxi background of this company (the Beijing Education Department, for one), there is a fairly good chance for the reporting be silenced any moment.
RandomGuy:
Especially one of the shareholders is a military general in the PLA. Like everyone in the government, these dudes are normally not allowed to engage in private businesses so that means he is putting his entire career at risk and Xi's anti-corruption unit may very well take him down if the story gets too big. The man will probably do anything to bury the whole thing.
earthizen:
Great info, haha, army general. 'Education' (poltical classes) is controlled by CCP and the best time to do it is as early as possible, kindergarten.
You also look at the property market. Xi's tightening of property prices has substantial speculative dirty money trapped. The headcount for dirty scums, CCP officials and those in the private sector is 90 million. More severe measures coming. This kind of money is desparately looking for ways out. IPOs in America is their favorite, screw the stupid sheep among Yankees and get the money out, money laundery and screwing the evil imperialists, killing two birds with one stone. 'Perfection'.
P.S. For those who don't know RYB stands for red yellow blue.
Stiggs:
Well it seems like the attempt to hush it up backfired horribly, seems like people are quite rightly outraged and probably worried about what else is going on and being covered up.
If this can happen in Chaoyang, Beijing imagine what could happen in the poor rural areas.
earthizen:
The china pond is dark and filthy, stiggs. There are many bombs, stock market (went nearly belly up in 2015) wiping out quite a few greedy middle class sheep, loans sharks (no, not the mafia, but central bank, very filthy pond), local thugs (not mickey mouse either), and the biggest one, property. Unscrupulous money dogs large and small obsessed with money. Well, well, well, Karl Marx teaches them the end justifies the means.
You carry one of the ends they desparately want, to buy, with their filthy blood money, a foreign passport, ie fight, kill, and then flee.
“Unhappy poor people at least have the fantasy that money will make them happy; unhappy rich people don’t even have that.”

As the father of a five year old girl, if ......
My daughter does piano lessons. One day the school has a young guy piano teacher. He insists parents are not allowed in class. One on one. Next lesson... daughter full tantrum mode... not going to lesson.
A few days later, that teacher is sacked by the school. No reason given.
School has a new rule now... no one on one lessons between male teachers and girls.
As a father, that makes me feel a failure. It angers me.
I suspected at the tantrum stage, cos the wife said the teacher had insisted on no parents.
I know he did not touch her, cos the wife did not trust him. She was looking through the door window all the time.
But I dont get it. The wife said she did not trust him, but let dauhghter go to class... why... because piano teachers are difficult to find.
He did not touch my daughter, but he said something. The school sacked him.
He is at another school most likely.
If you come across him, give me a shout.,
Its a forward move to accept it happens.
Lets get the rusty butter knifes out to CUT THEIR FUCKING BALLS OFF.
Stiggs:
Playing the devil's advocate here Alan...
Is there a chance the teacher was just a short tempered dude with no patience for kids who missed his chance at being a concert pianist and now has to teach kids who often don't want to be there how to bang out some tune to impress their parents?
He gets frustrated with parents being in the classroom because they keep interfering, disrupting the lesson, talking on their phones during the class and then telling him how he's doing it wrong when they most likely can't play the piano at all themselves.
He yells at the kids, makes them cry and drives them away from the school and really has no business teaching young kids because he's crap at it so he was either fired or he quit (and the school said they fired him).
Should he be teaching? No, but it doesn't mean he's a pedo necessarily, just a crap teacher of children.
Shining_brow:
I'm inclined to agree with Stiggs.... parents in the room sucks arse! They always know better, and always want their kid to be given 'special' treatment.
Why is he no longer there? Maybe a dispute over money? Maybe disgruntled parents who want to sit in on the class, and who got their face put out by being told 'no', and their egos couldn't take it....
Or, perhaps, he's used to teaching older people, and doesn't have the patience to deal with younger kids (but needed the job)??
ScotsAlan:
I agree with Stiggs and shining. Thinking too much into it after the fact. I wonder though, do chinese teachers have to pass a background check?
Stiggs:
Background check? Don't know but if they do need it it would be similar to the way people need a drivers licence to prove they're fit to drive their car. Great in theory but.... well, you know how it is.
And that's where a lot of the paranoia and fear regarding kid's teachers probably comes from. People know damn well that shit happens, there are no real checks and balances in place to prevent it happening, when it does happen it gets covered up and society being what it is if an investigation turns up 'evidence' of people lying to try to get compensation or put a competitor out of business there's actually a chance that it really is the case, but there's just as good a chance that it's another cover up so who knows what to believe.
There's no trust there.
Shining_brow:
" do chinese teachers have to pass a background check?"
Are you Han? Do you follow the party?
Yes and yes... you pass.

A 22-year-old female teacher has been detained on suspicion of child abuse at a Beijing kindergarten following reports that students were regularly given some “white tablets and a brown syrup,” while those who disobeyed were allegedly forced to stand naked.
Police in the Chaoyang district said in a statement on Saturday that the teacher, identified only by her surname, Liu, is from the Hebei province, adjacent to Beijing.
Chaoyang police also reported that a 31-year-old Beijing woman was detained after admitting to allegedly spreading false information about the involvement of a military regiment in sexually abusing the children, AP reported.

The Beijing woman, also surnamed Liu, has expressed “deep regret” for her actions, the statement reportedly said. The scandal broke out after the Caixin media group quoted some parents as saying their children were forced to strip as punishment at the kindergarten, run by a US-listed group, and were found with needle marks on their bodies.
One mother told the magazine that she had found needle marks on her daughter’s arms, buttocks and forehead. “Disobedient students were also forced to stand naked or were locked up in a dark room at the kindergarten,” another parent said.
The kindergarten has around 20 children in a bilingual class with four teachers, including one foreigner, Xinhua news agency reported.
According to the South China Morning Post, the kindergarten has tuition fees of about 5,000 yuan ($750) a month, which is “about half of the average monthly salary in the city.”
On Thursday, several teachers at the kindergarten were suspended from duty pending a police investigation.
Stiggs:
The thing with this 'investigation' is...
Ok they detain some 22 year old girl from Hebei and another woman (whistleblower?)who said that people with military connections were involved in the sexual abuse but no word yet on the naked male 'doctors'. Shouldn't they be the first people you'd look for and detain?
If you're at all sceptical, and most of China probably is at this point, this would just reinforce your scepticism. It seems like every other high profile investigation where some poor temporary worker gets thrown to the media wolf pack.
icnif77:
Ohh, they've got whistleblower into the jail? Aren't parents protecting her? Or in China, most likely everybody shut-up once leader say so.
I wasn't reading it in detail. I was more surprised by RT is posting it.
I told on a teacher one time for hitting the children with a ruler at the kindergarten.nothing got done,no one gave a shit.
Englteachted:
It's the norm in China and it only becomes a problem when the foreign media gets wind of it
Shining_brow:
I asked about punishments in Chinese high schools. I got told (by the folks back in Oz that were operating the program) that local teachers will occasionally hit kids over the back of the head as a norm... so, it would be ok if I did...!
local article http://finance.sina.com.cn/chanjing/gsnews/2017-11-26/doc-ifypceiq2652811.shtml
More news surface. According to the children there were 'naked yeah-yeahs (grandpa) and uncles'. Needle marks are found on hidden parts of the abused kids' body, such as armpits. Medical examinations revealed anal damage.
The 22 years old Hubei teacher arrested was a quiet girl who parents they were shocked to hear it was her. They couldn't believe it. 17+ kids, each compensated rmb 30,000 by the school. Yeah, right, so generous....look at their sales revenue, how much did they rip-off from their IPO at NYSE?
Shining_brow:
Yeah, sure... it's the 22-year old female teacher from Hubei... and NOT any of the male teachers who have been there for years... (especially with the alleged 'anal' damage).
22 years old... should be fresh out of her bachelor's degree, has ZERO connections and guanxi, and only been there a short time. And extremely unlikely to be in a position to be able to get her hands on the sort of stuff they're talking about (injections) and in a position to do so to SO many students without anyone else noticing or choosing to do anything about it!
Was she a part of it? Possibly. Was she the only one? HELL NO!
Stiggs:
That's one of the things about this that just disgusts me, aside from the obvious.
The fact that the real scum here (assuming there's any truth to the story of course) will probably walk away free and protected by whatever officials they have in their pockets while some poor girl and the whistle blowers who I.D'd the pervs get their lives ruined so the pedos and govt don't lose face.
There's a lot more to this story but the govt is trying hard to sweep this under the rug
ScotsAlan:
I dont think so EngTeach. That the news made it out means the Party approves its release. They have opened the floodgates. Could be a propaganda stunt. Think about it... Trump boasting about getting shoplifters freed, Roy Moore in Alabama... American teachers accused of sex abuse...Its a one up on Trump. Will Trump let an alleged American kiddie fiddler rot in a chinese jail while he endorses another for the senate? Trump was fucking stupid to claim his intervention got the shoplifters out of jail.
ScotsAlan:
I suspect, by Thursday, half a dozen American teachers will be in jail on kiddie fiddling charges. China knows who they are and where they are. Wait... scrub that... they will wait untill after the Alabama special election. Roy Moore will win. Then boom, the roundup will begin.

Ex-Clinton Foundation Official Tied To Chinese Kindergarten Embroiled In Bizarre Sexual Abuse Scandal
A former Clinton Foundation official who is now an independent director at a company which operates private schools in China has found himself embroiled in a bizarre child abuse scandal involving needles, pills, “brown syrup,” nudity, and sexual molestation, according to parents.

RYB Education operates 80 kindergartens and has another 175 franchised locations across 130 cities in China, according to filings. All of it’s directors are all Chinese, with the exception of former Clinton Foundation executive and associate dean at Yale, Joel Getz, 52, who is listed as an Independent Director.
Mr. Joel A. Getz is Independent Director of the Company. Prior to that, Mr. Getz served as Director of Development for the William J. Clinton Foundation in New York and was President of the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City.
The RYB Investor Relations page lists Getz as a member of the Audit Committee and the Compensation Committee.
Bill Bishop of the Sinocism China Newsletter and Axios contributor points out that it’s a bit odd that an Associate Dean at Yale would be on the board of directors of a Chinese kindergarten chain, suggesting that perhaps Getz thought it would be “easy money.”
icnif77:
It looks like pedo-gate ...
Furious parents gathered in front of RYB Education New World Kindergarten on Friday demanding answers, while China’s Xinhua news agency reports that children were also sexually molested.
The Beijing kindergarten at the heart of the controversy is located next to a large military base, sparking rumors that military officials had been sexually abusing the children. Notably, the husband of the kindergarten’s director was previously an official at the base, however Fun Junfeng, the base’s political commissioner told PLA daily that there was “no evidence” that military personnel are involved in the abuse.
Well the investigation is over and the only sign of abuse was the 22 year old girl pricking the kids with a needle when they wouldn't sleep. Everything else was lies and vicious rumors.
