From Shenyang to Beijing?
I have Chinese DL. I was wondering if there was a car rental company in Shenyang (that i can rent a car from), which has its location in Beijing too; so that I can drop the car off at that location.
Or just a company that rents out cars or vans with drivers to drive you from one place to another, just like a taxi but between different cities. Things to move: About 5 large suitcases, and knickknacks , also two passengers to ride along.

In case you can not rent a car, why not consider a train trip ?. Two passengers can take two suitcases into a soft sleeper, then the rest you bring to the cargo area of the train station and they will ship it to you by train to Beijing. You do the packing into boxes, they will make a reinforced wood frame for less than 100 Rmb extra. And the shipping fee is minimal, I paid less than 200 Rmn total for a 48 in flat screen TV to be shipped 800 Kms. When I arrived at my destination, went to the cargo area and picked TV, hired a van for 50 yuan to take me and TV to my home.

Can you just give them Suitcases instead of indivudual boxes?
The train will be faster than driving and safer. That's a long drive if you could get a car and tiring. I don't like driving at home at night and we have good roads. No worries with the train. I'm not sure about train schedules, but if you took a night train, you'd save on one nights hotel also.
on train ticket gets you 50 kgs free baggage. that's a lot of kilos. two train tickets would get you 100 kgs free baggage. the rules have changed since e h p comments above. You will need to bring everything to Shenyang North station. They will examine it and then you will need to pack it in front of them. They will seal the packages and charge you for all of this.
Otherwise, use railway express. same service but door-to-door. A car SY - BJ will run you at least RMB 1,500, if not more.
I would imagine so. They may want to inspect the contents for security reasons, but I do not see a reason to be a box.
Be aware, soft sleeper compartments carry from 4 to 6 persons, if you buy the two lower births you can slice suitcases under if they fit. When the rest comes in, there will not be much room for more baggage. This is why I suggested you carry only two and ship the rest. Do not forget, if you do, to bring food, drinks and toilet paper with you.
