Of course, LinkedIn is incredible and useful everywhere

I find it especially useful for dating, as I get a lot of requests from randomers.

I've had random job recruiters contact me on linkedin and invite me for an interview which would be good if I was interested in the job. Unfortunately I get a lot of Chinese people that I don't know ask me to be their friend.
