Q: List of impoverished provinces for Z visa

New rules/ regulations.. 3 types of working migrants A/B/C   need to get at least 60 points to be class B.

There are many different websites that tell us how to calculate the score, however no one ever said where/how to check the list of provinces, counties, cities that would give you extra points ( 10 points!!) Do you know where to check it?

If you look at the requirements...  If you qualify as an ESL instructor you are given a B classification.

I wouldn't ask this question if I was sure about my credentials. I'm a non-native who teaches English for a couple of years in China. Soon my contract would end and I'd probably  want to move to other city and it is much easier to get a job as an English teacher. I know that different provinces have different requirements.. but unfortunately no one posts them

If your degree is from an English speaking country, you'll be ok. If you are a NNES, and don't have an authenticated degree from a university in an English speaking country...  you don't qualify to work in (all of) China on a legitimate Z visa anymore.

I've worked in Henan and Guizhou last year as NNES. Now, by all this 'online Z visa/RP stuff' I don't qualify for Z anymore, 'cause 'no authenticity stamp anywhere' on my docs. It's too expensive to get stamp, so I am in Vladistan at the moment on 90-days 'Business visa' and doing 'part-time' teaching jobs. I had interview at one School/Agency last week and they started process of 'employing me legally', so I might even get WP for Ruski and if I won't get it, next Business visa will be 1-year for some 300 EUR cost. I just don't know how many times I can get Business visa.

Icinif77 - authentication / verification of your degree isn't a big problem. you can do it even in Beijing 。 Some of my friends from Germany and the USA have already done it. As for me I have a full package of necessary documents ( verified degree, tefl, non-criminal record,  release letters from previous employers, hsk certificate...) just want to double-check and choose the best province for my needs

I guess, I am done with China except for short visits to my dentist and HK shopping spree.

I had offer from one Chinese lawyer to certify my docs. for 6k RMB. Now, that is exactly the same amount last School payed me short (no return home flight refund).

In simple math, that means I should spend 12k to be able to work with scumbags again????

Good luck to all still in China!

The score is irrelevant. What matters is your position within the company, business owners, CEOs and managers automatically get a A. Others professions get a B. Filipino ayis get a C. I mean I didn't even take the test and I got grade A on my card since I'm a business owner.

All that matters is who your boss knows and who he is. I pushed my own ABC card through the immigration office (not to be mistaken with the PSB) in less than 2 days thanks to a girl I know who works there. It can take up to a week otherwise for them to issue a brand new card.

So depending on who your boss is and who he knows, rules can be bended in China.

Spiderboenz:

I took care of the card myself, don't know anyone there, and got my B card in about a week.

I got a C.

Holder of 11 commercialised patents. No degree.

Every online sample test I have done gives me about 68 points. But the agent, and HR, had no clue about it. Did not submit what I asked them to. Chinese logic 101. Foreigner stupid.

Only a C. But legal.

Big chip on shoulder is the result Smile

But here is the thing. When I get into drunken conversations with other established foreigners, I might ask them what they got. A, B or C.

I would say 90% have no idea what I am talking about.

At least ECC contributers/ readers have some idea of the regulations rather than plead ignorance/ arrogance.

Because it is indeed arrogance to willfully ignore immigration laws that apply to you.

The OP posted a good question. What is the law. Simple answer is... we dont know.

But the posters on this forum want to know the law. Others choose to deny laws exist.

How many times have I heard... I have spouse visa.

China has these new regulations to push schools to hire illegals. After these regulations, do you notice more Eastern Europeans or less, more adverts saying no degree required or less?

wow. that sounds horrible. in accordance with those regulations you have to get at least B.  From what I can see now many "professors" and 'PHD" holders are leaving China at the end of their contracts because they actually don't have any degree/diploma.

Those are rules for the less than 20% of the schools that are legal.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
