Q: Looking for a Gov't Vet in Guangzhou to issue official docs

Dear All,

I'm looking for an advice and information - where to find Government Vet in Guangzhou?

I am planning to move out of China with my cat. I already have all the necessary information about documents required for my cat to be able to travel. Only problem - where to find this Government institution and Vet in Guangzhou to get all these documents issued?!

So, please, if you or any of your friends have gone through all this, let me know. Stressing again - all the rest could manage on our own, but have no information so far where to find the gov't vet in Guangzhou.

Please, only serious and topic-related answers. Thanks heaps!

Cut and paste from Bing:

Guangdong Bureau of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary

Guangdong Guangzhou Martyr East Road 135

Phone: 020-37288294

The website does not seem to work.

Also found this.

http://doctorsbeckandstone.com/index.php/pet-relocation

ScotsAlan:

Just to add. The link in Bing does not work. But typing in manually does.

Website:

http://www.gdagri.gov.cn/

I can't read Chinese, but lots of pictures of pretty cows on that website, so it could be the one you want.

Thank you!

About Doctors Beck&Stone, I have contacted them, they can do vaccinations, microchipping, etc., but they are not governmental, therefore they unfortunately can't issue official certificates for relocation.

Beck&Stone should direct you to the proper office??? You could also try with Q at your Embassy. They should know, how to.

Yahoo-gle has some links listed on 'Guangdong Veterinary Hospital'.

This is listing of Shenzhen's Vet. hospitals, but without phone numbers:

I always push SAFEA (Foreign Expert Bureau), Gov. org. for help with the problems at schools in China. However, as a foreigner, I would seek any other info there too. I'm sure, they'll advice you on the proper procedure.

Enter 'SAFEA' in search above for contact numbers in Guangzhou. Address and contact numbers are Provincial SAFEA Headquarters numbers.

It's better if you dial the phone no. on the web link, over sending an email, especially if you need an answer right away.

China Pet Passport & Regulations

export pets from ThailandCats and dogs departing China must be rabies vaccinated at an official animal vaccination hospital in the PRC and must have the official “Beijing Animal Health and Immunity Certificate” (vaccination red book). The vaccination must be administered no sooner than 30 days prior to international travel.

No more than 7 days prior to travel, pets must be examined and obtain an Exit Health Certificate from a designated government quarantine hospital.

A lot of pets relocation info on this link.
