Q: Looking for a Spanish teacher

I'd like to find a native speaker Spanish teacher. Is there a classifieds ads kind of place where I can post a request to find a teacher? This site no longer supports a free function of that nature. Also I'm worried that this will be a difficult to find language even in a big city like Dalian.

I've found some language training places but always taught by Chinese people. Sad

For the right price I'll sell you my gf... she's Chilean and also fluent in English and German.

And who knows, the price may be cheap after she kicks my ass for saying this Tongue

I am not Spanish but I lived in Spain for thirteen years. I lived in the birth place of Castellano and speak fluently. There is a big difference pronunciation wise between south American and Spanish people which is something to be considered when looking for a teacher and which form of Spanish you prefer to learn. I live quite far from Dalian but the Internet is also an option. I also know all the pitfalls an English speaker encounters when learning Spanish.

laura.gage99:

I lived in Spain for awhile too! though not near as long as you. only 4 months actually :( Where did you live? I would much rather find a someone who speaks Castiliano. I was quite good at Spanish at one point, but now the Spanish is fighting a loosing battle against Chinese in my brain. I'd like to find a teacher I could talk to face to face otherwise I would totally take you up on that.

I spent most of my time in Logroño, La Rioja. Although I have traveled to every corner playing pool.

If you really were that well versed in Spanish as you claim, you will know that "the big difference" in pronunciation you refer too is restricted only to one letter of the alphabet, the "Z". All other letters are pronounced exactly the same everywhere in Spanish, since it is only one way to do so, the correct one. In Spain, the letter "Z" is pronounced a lot stronger than in any other Latin country. In fact, the bigger difference is not in pronunciation, but in sentence construction and use of some forms (in Spain, respectful way, in Latin American familiar way).

Hola, I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, so I speak, write and read Spanish very fluently. I will be more than glad to help you out in the learning process, except that I am in Beijing and I am not sure how far that would be for you.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
