Q: Moar Westerners than non-Chinese Asians in China?

Maybe it's just me that can't make the subtle difference between a Cambodian and a Chinese, but from my observation, I can say there is way moar Westerners than non-Chinese Asians.

Since their countary is next door, and China offer great lifestyle, why isn't there moar Asians in China? I'm talking about Malaysian, Cambodian, Vietnamese etc. I understand that China don't like Japan much, but do they have something against other Asians as well?

There are loads of Asians in China! But like you said, you just can't tell the difference. China has a huge Korean population for example. Many factories in the south hire illegal workers from neighbouring countries and they pay them even less than Chinese workers. Thousands of them live in factories and are never let out so you don't see them.

@Wenna7: Or just ignore everything you read in the 'news' papers and on telly.

Koreans are dead easy to spot in China. The guys ALWAYS wear shorts, baseball cap, and flip flops, and usually drive mopeds or scooters. The girls often wear hats with dumb slogans on, and wear those awful velveteen tracksuit pants with words like 'Juicy' smeared on the bum. Plus they look different: bigger faces. Generally if you see an Asian with a baseball cap, big face and thick-rimmed black plastic glasses, they're Korean.

LAR:

You're right L! I used to live in South Korea. Yeah, South Koreans have fatter faces.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
