Q: More foreigners coming or going?

Are more foreigners coming to China, or leaving?

Even despite the latest protests and events in China, I still think that more foreigners are coming than going. I have nothing to base this on, but what do you think?

I also think that there are more foreigners coming to China than leaving, but I also don't have anything to back this up.

Maybe it's that the people you may have known have done their time. A case of out with the old and in with the new.

People are still coming here, maybe you just haven't met them yet.

Possibly the idea of companies investing in cheap labour is not as popular as it is clearly not as cheap as before, but people are still coming here for many reasons.

the surprising thing is that these events are actually having little real effect on anything. most japanese firms aren't even considering leaving china. this leads me to believe that this whole mess has been orchestrated by both the japanese govt and the chinese govt working together. the business leaders always know what we dont know.

Well it is a quest for underwater gas reserves masked by a campaign of patriotism.
