Been living in Shanghai for a little too long and I'm craving some serious nature. Looking to relocate to more natural setting. Anyone have any suggestions?
Try Canada or Alaska. Some remote isolated places up north pay large.

didn't plate my motorcycle this year, too cool here, beers always in the frig.
I am presently in my home country. Seems perfect. Just picked some strawberries in the garden to sit and munch on. A quick rinse and they are good to eat.
Thanks guys. I probably should've specified places in China, not sure I'm done here yet:)
Moving back home is going to be really nice though, whenever that happens!

Hangzhou is nice. For a city of 7 million there are some nice relatively isolated places to walk around, accessible by city bus too. There are hostels on Hupao Road SW of west lake, you can walk directly from those to the mountain ranges. Come on down for a weekend if Shanghai is getting you down.

although people there sucks, I'd say Hangzhou too. Expecially the west part, xixi wetland..
I second Sam for Hangzhou, it is awesome. Although there are lots of nice places around - I always wanted to live in Qingdao for example. Only... There's always trouble moving to these places in that there isn't as much work as somewhere like Shanghai and what's there almost certainly won't pay as well. You could choose from a lot of nice places but like anywhere else that's just really nice to live or visit the prices are high. So my guess is moving will result in a pay-cut but similarly high housing cost and living expenses to Shanghai (or at least sufficiently high that the pay-cut hurts). Finding a nice place to live in China isn't difficult - the difficult part is finding somewhere that has a decent offer.
Try Hong Kong or japan....pretty cool in those places....
I (well, first wife & I) lived a long time in Alaska. If u r serious, it's a nice place. If u can understand a different kind of world. Maybe three times the size of France, population used to be 550,000. half of that in one city.
on one of the Scottish islands: healthy environment, beautiful scenery, great company. They are the toughest cookies i have met and so friendly!

Speaking about cookies know where to get any good chocolate cookies in the capital city..

ALERT, Sparkey is leaving poot on sidewalks again and mass thumbing down.
Zhanjiang, Guangdong ..... little warm and humid ... but if you like the tropics.
The city boasts the best quality coastal water in the country and ranks among the top three in the 113 key environmental protection cities in air quality.
Zhanjiang is one of 13 prefecture-level cities in Guangdong with a per capita GDP below the national average, Liu said. In other words.... my words.....it is cheap to live here!!
Chengdu. China is a good place where you could lead a comfortable life guaranteed with a decent salary, where you could tour around many famous places like Wuhou Temple, JInli Street. I believe that you would love this place if you come here.
YUN NAN province!!! da li , lijiang both are amazing. look it up
I'll do my best to stay in Xiamen, I'd say it's pretty decent.
Get a plane to Jeju Island (South Korea) about an hour plane ride from Shanghai. Beautiful beaches, mountains, forests, the air is so crisp you can taste it. Not that expensive either.
