Q: As oversea student can I get part time job in GZ under X visa?

I am oversea student. I want to support my self and also want to continue my study in china. IS it legal to work there under X visa? Please make me clear .IF I got any job under X visa what punishment are there????

No. Simply NO. You cannot work under a X visa. If you want to work get a Z visa. If you are caught you can kiss your Uni goodbye here and maybe ban imposed from entering China.

It is NOT legal to work with an X visa. If you want to work legally, you have to get the Z visa.

As a student with an X type visa, you are ONLY allowed to work on an internship sponsored by the school where you are studying, and the school must be approved to provide such package. 

Any other type of work, for pay or for free, In Guangzhou or elsewhere in China, requires you to have a work visa (Z), plus within 30 days to enter the country obtain an FEC, a work and a residence permits from the proper authorities.  Only then you will be totally legal to work in China.
