i must be careful and sugar coat this i will not mention the 2 key words s..... and d.....
background: one of my reasons for coming to china was to find a wife, but in my experiences i am now against marriage as a whole. I used to be lazy and wanted a wife for 3 simple reasons cooking cleaning and daily activity.
but i'm slowly beginning to cook for myself because people dont understand anything about food cleanliness or health. example: in hohhot the kitchen faucet was connected to a sewage line so i would always explain to women that they cant use this faucet but instead use the faucet in the bathroom to clean the dishes and use only bottle water cooking, i always demonstrated to them by turning on the kitchen faucet and let them see for themselves (nice smell) but i would always catch them trying to go behind my back to wash things there and one tried to use it to boil eggs, for us. the excuses ranged from i was going to boil it first to just to clean the plate. s or d word
cleaning i now clean for myself even though not very often because the women here are likely to use the same sponge to clean the tiolet that they used to wash the dishes.
other than daily activity tell me your thoughts. sorry for the length

Except if you want a wife from the country side of China, Chinese women who are "educated" (bachelor degree) often don't cook and rely either on eating outside or on their parents.
Frankly, as a man, I have to do everything at home : cook, wash the dishes, iron, vacuum, wash clothes and take care of my baby during the day from monday to friday....My wife works and I can't really rely on Chinese ayi (Philipino are out of my budget) and I don't want to have my in-law around.....
You have to understand that since the introduction of the one-child policy, a whole generation of children were born with the constant over-care and over-attention of their parents who used to do everything for them. When they reach their adulthood, they still want the world to be like that.
I give you some example:
1) have you ever seen Chinese parents allowing their child to prepare food with them (I have never)
2) have you ever seen Chinese parents to ask their child to clean their room or they toys.
3) they don't even dare to let their child cry for a wild.
Too many negatives, isn't it....?! I will also add that in many foreign countries, when a foreigner is married with a local, resident permit is often granted and the administration won't create too many problems. Here in China, as a non-working foreigner, every year it's a nightmare to renew my resident permit and visa, even though my wife is Chinese.
Positive of having a Chinese wife : they have a great deal of patience with children....
It's perfect to have a Chinese wife, too many benefits and let's ignore the other side
