Q: A Reverse VPN?

Just curious, has anyone ever heard of a VPN that would set you with a China IP address?

Censorship aside, there are solid video sites with tons of movies on the chinese internet, which don't work abroad or in HK...not saying I would buy one but has anyone ever decided to jump the great firewall going the other way?

Yes, I think it is called a VPN?! You just choose a Chinese IP instead of a non-Chinese IP

Yeah, I've seen some VPN services propose Chinese IPs.

But if it's for movies and TV, torrents these days are just a blink.

Finally moving to HK?

haha i wish.

Nah just curious.

I actually like baidu for TV shows. I'm sure there are better ways that a more sophisticated person than me can figure out though

The question is, how much would the 5,7 billion potential customers outside of China pay for this service :)

I have a Chinese friend who has an IT company. We have discussed this and he is considering setting this up to offer to Chinese abroad. Interestingly enough the demand is for Chinese series and news.
