A guy from Bronx told me that Bronx is too dangerous for me to visit. Really? Seem like Bronx has a bad reputation for the crime.
I read travel tips from a Chinese on baidu saying to not drink alone or hang out with just the girls to drink in the bar, because the men will think you are waitting for men to come to you. I doubt it. Any truth in it?

I think girls have a ‘Girls night out’ thing and one of it’s main rules is no guys allowed. But that might just be a thing in Middle-class America. I don’t know about what the girls do in Manhattan. But yeah, a girl alone in a bar looks to most guys like she wants to get approached.
I know the subway used to be kinda dangerous. Thugs and such,,, but is it still? Even in 2017? I haven’t been to NYC in ages.
