I doubt that anybody really cares until there's a massive train wreck that hits international headlines, then the news will be full of stern faced officials making big speeches about inquiries and investigations and guilty parties facing severe punishment. Then it will be hushed up, everyone will forget about it and it will be business as usual again.

More scandal surfaces.  Severe water seepage / leakage in tunnel in Guizhou, the largest arch bridge in prc.  The 300km high speed train has to reduce speed to 70 km.

 

No one has to go to jail, no mentioning of bribery, companies involved either deducted points on their credibility ratings, some taken off the bidding list for one year.
