Q: Shanghai subway operating hours?

My flight from pu dong airport leaves at 8:50 am
If i take the first subway train can i reach the airport in time or would i have to sleep in the airport the night before to avoid missing my flight?

the first subway starts at 5:30am if i m right.

if its a domestic flight you will be fine if you arrive 1h before your flight starts. if its an international flight better plan 3 hours (last time i was in check-in queue around 1,5h and 1h in security check queue...)

not sure where your home is but the line 2 is splittet into 2 metros to the airport and the second part takes 30min + 10min waiting time for a metro.

better just take a taxi... still cheaper than a hotel near the airport

Why don't you search on google for the opening times & journey times of the shanghai metro before asking lazy questions here? Probably take you 15 minutes to find your answer....

pepo36:

Thanks for the advice but don't you think that instead of wasting my time and your time with useless advice like this you should have ignored my question of you didn't know the answer or just answered me if you knew any info Because as a matter of fact i did search on Google and couldn't find enough answers to decide I also think that i didn't do anything bad by posting any obscene question or anything offensive to anyone, there's a section in the answers website only for travel and transportation and FYI it's used for questions about travel and transportation (my question here)

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
