Q: Silly contract Question

My contract states I will be paid for 10-16hrs....A class was taken from me. I am still within the range, can they reduce my salary even though I am teaching between 10-16

If the contract says 10-16hrs, it means you'll still be paid the same at 10hrs. That's how I read it. You're probably in a university?

Yes university, I read it the same way also....Is it common to have contracts that say you can be fired for any reason.

Most schools put 10-16 in the contract because some arrogant teachers request lesser hours. But many schools specify 10- 16 because they will pay you 3000rmb if you work lets say 9 hours. Ask questions about what is stated in the contract before you sign the contract.

Chinese are skilled cheaters and scammers, lying is ingrained in their culture. You must be suspicious about every little detail.

Its rather silly question, as you do think that we know more than your employer ... Just ask him, please
