i use this site because it is a greAT way to kill time. i have enough sense to realize that this is still the internet and anything can be anything. i don't care!
edit: i should explainbecoz i will look crazy if you didn't receive the PM. foreign teacher union guy seems to be recruiting people for his cause. claiming nonsense about this site and other posters.
i do not care what this site really is. i do not care if a poster bla bla bla. i simply use this site to waste my time.
idid not come to china to invlove myself in politics. unions are illegal in china punishable by death.
i think chinese workers need a union before foreign english teachers anyway.
and if the owner of a site bans you, deletes your misplaced advertisements, then it would stand to reason that you are trespasing by changig screen names to come back on. oh yes that is sb i'm gonna get into bed with.
Your real name might be Pierre?.....just because 'you don't care'?
icnif77:
No, I used to know French guy, who would always reply to boss's complain with: "My name is Pierre, I don't care!'
rasklnik:
It's a poem by Maurice Sendak
"Once there was a boy named Pierre, who always said "I don't care"
You drinking this holiday? I've had to lay off the sauce since my head injury. The mood swings are a pain, aren't they?
Got no PM at all and I hope I wouldn't either. I care nothing about such matters and yes i like this site. It is the only place where I enjoy to be, more than any other social media places. I am having a lot of fun, I am learning a lot and I feel less alone in this Country.
I got one a couple of months ago, which is why I wrote the article condemning it. It is dangerous to new expats who don't know what they are getting into.
"BTW" wrote a post earlier today saying he was going to send a message to everybody. I think I was going to be part of the subject of the PM, because he believes I am a moderator on ECC and other expat sites that have banned him.
He seems like just another nutcase.
crimochina:
you are very busy. he seems to think he knows a lot about you
Traveler:
"Thinks" is the operative word. The email I got from him threatened to have me deported from China. I live in Australia, where I belong to the government's Labor Party.
I'm a bit disappointed I didn't get to read the PM, though
If you don't want spam from the "union", make a positive comment about Traveler in that notorious and notoriously long topic about ... the "union". Worked for me.
bill8899:
Ummm yea, that's why I agreed with Traveler. Because I despise mail.
OK I'll buy beers because I am a rich foreigner.
ambivalentmace:
bill 8899, rich foreigners have to stick together, i will split the bill with you for the solidarity of us rich folks.
bill8899:
Yes, we rich (old in my case) foreigners must stick together! Cheers! I commend you for making a stand. And they said you were ambivalent.
icnif77:
Paul, it was your 1000th post. That's why, you are picking up the tab!
bill8899:
OK I guess that means I buy two rounds! Anyone else want a beer?
I agree!
Thankfully, I have not been "PM"ed
(sounds kinda kinky....
GuilinRaf:
HUGS!!!!
Yeah, no good ones lately. Just from Nigerian princes who want to give me money or from chinese men who want to interpret for me.
How have you been?
You all know how often I bitch about recruiters here and, well, they sent me a PM too. I basically explained that I got banned from the job section previously, and to avoid all recruiters.
They asked me, "You are a veteran poster here. Any idea how to warn others about this without getting banned?"
So I'll basically I'll repeat all advice I gave before: Don't use recruiters. Congratulations! I just saved you money, and even saved your life. Please send all donations to me via PM. Thanks!
End-User License Agreement: You agree that, if you saw a single letter in this message message, you owe me 10,000 RMB. If you do not agree, immediately jump off a bridge (a really small bridge).
WtF!!!!!??/hahahhahahah....lol!! That did not make any sense. And the last line you wrote tells me you've been doing a little bit of Reefer on the side haven't you!! LOL! OMg!! Someone was in la la land having a gay old time!
Traveler:
They are expressions we use in the west. As a Chinese person, we don't expect you to understand them. That's why we use them
crimochina:
typical chinese, think they know more about english than native english speakers. you know what this post says "i'm really chinese" haha
Traveler:
Silva: we have two other expressions c***sucker and mother****er. You should look them up, because you will hear them a lot throughout your life.
The unfortunate thing about this mess is that I have tried three times to tell you folks that ECC is collecting money for paid ads from China ESL which has been exposed at the Beijinger.com, the CFTU, the old China Teachers Alliance, China Scam Patrol and on 3 different blacklists and perhaps a dozen ESL message boards going back to 2007! The problem is Admin keeps deleting the posts, and 'Traveler' is the former BF and current business partner of the owner of China ESL. So both of them have mounted a censorship campaign that is fully explained at the below link
Then Admin will make a false post advising trying to convince people that anyone who raises this subject is the same person. I admit that I posted here once before as BTW... but no other entity. And for the last two days and all this week and next, I am teaching in Xian so this time he cannot say I am anyone else "according to IP addresses". Clearly Admin is biased and as always comes to the defense of Traveler who is the author of the China Daily Mail article and an ex-prison guard. Read the above link and you will fully understand why so much censorship is at play here.
http://craighillchinadailymail.blogspot.ca
Please tell me Admin... Theoretically speaking, If a hundred people using VPNs all agreed on an issue here at ECC that you did not like, would you still say you "banned them for posting from the same IP? That line is getting old my friend. If you are Chinese, I understand why you are trying to hide this link. If you are an expat, you should be ashamed of yourself for helping China ESL lure more victims through ads at ECC. People here will eventually notice that you delete and ban people who disagree with you on this sensitive subject.
And yes, I am again taking a screen print of this post to document this post as I will find a way to notify ever expat in China about this huge conflict of interest with the ECC and known scammers who are allowed to advertise. ECC is not the only game in town you know.
When admin and mods have to delete and ban users who disagree with them and can post proof of collusion, the expat forums lose their useful and credibility for expats. The bottom line is that ECC is complicitly to scams targeting foreign teachers by posting the the paid and dozens of free ads of China ESL which takes up to 66% of a teacher's salary and charges money for both invitation and release letters and does not pay teachers their last pay checks nor return their deposit money as documented at the beijinger and many other online posts and blacklists.
HugAPanda:
oh hell... I disagreed with Kitty all the time, and only got a spanking once :( I <3ed the kitty.
I dont think they ban cuz ya disagree... I think they ban when you're an asshole AND get tired of your crap.
crimochina:
hugs: miss you , how have been?
other dude: even if you are who you say you are? you are advertising on a private website in the answer section. why not advertise in the advertising section. and anyone with a functional brain can see 3 things
1. this site does not have a blacklist section (but other website do, so you can go there) any advertisement is likely to be from a fraudulent agent/school. it is not the website's responsibility. we are all adults, if we take proper precaution we can avoid fraud.
2. this is China. unions are illegal. organizing against the govt is illegal. so do you really expect people to submit their private info to a n organization that claims to be a union?
3. you hurt your integrity by continuing to trespass onto this private website. that tells me that your motives are not pure.
Traveler:
Crazy Dude: Could you please insert the following link into all your future tirades against the world:
chinadailymail.com/2013/03/25/china-foreign-teachers-union-could-be-another-chinese-scam/
My links have been on your sites for weeks, but I have not received one single visitor from any of them
Shining_brow:
Traveler: would you kindly post a disclaimer on your ECC thread that you were the author of that CDM post? And, how about a disclaimer on the CDM post that you were the author of the ECC post you link to... AND, that you link to your ECC post (which links back to that post, to cite it as 'evidence' of people against it) to cite it as 'evidence' of people being against it? AND that you again use your own posts to show 'people are against' this 'union'??
Whether that other place is 'shady' or not... whether the above post is ok or not... your tactics are extremely questionable!
Tarzan:
In my opinion there is malicious prejudice on this forum towards the CFTU, which apparently is not even allowed to defend themselves (banned and apparently no explanation was given). So this begs the question "WHY?" After doing some digging, I found the answer...
Most of the people who bash and trash the CFTU are recruiters or job agents, and judging from these links some of them like Traveler lurk on this forum pretending to be a teacher colleague. Quite clever.
http://eslwatch.info/china-2/scams-or-schemes-in-china/12147-beware-of-agents-recruiters-masquerading-as-esl-tefl-teachers-at-expat-esl-tefl-forums.html
http://www.thebeijinger.com/forum/2014/04/12/too-many-agents-recruiters-now-posting-teachers-expat-forums
http://www.eslbase.com/forum/viewtopic/t-3125
Also if you Google "Traveler, scam, China Daily Mail, China ESL" you will see WHY Traveler has been trying to smear the CFTU here at ECC. He is a recruiter for China ESL which an unethical agency blacklisted by the CFTU since 2010.
Traveler admitted to being a moderator for EchinaCities.com at this link here which is certainly "interesting" to say the least.
http://chinadailymail.com/2013/12/18/echinacities-expat-website-now-a-propaganda-machine/
As for who the REAL users are on this web site that attack the CFTU, this blog entry by Craig aka "Traveler" is even more intriguing.
http://chinadailymail.com/2014/06/04/ccp-vilifies-echinacities-owner-george-xu-for-being-gay-on-his-own-website/
And yes, I agree about the VPN/IP issue. We all use VPNs yet we will all get banned for telling the truth and of course, the excuse will be the old lame "same IP" bullshit ruse. Is anyone really fooled?
Don't you guys ever get junkmail sent to your hotmail or gmail? Just treat it as the same and don't give it the time of day.
