Q: Strange to ask part-time job to pay bi-monthly?

Recently I have been looking for a part-time job with little success due to the fact every company I talk to refuses to pay bi-monthly. I thought the whole idea of a part-time job was to earn extra money with more regularity than your full-time job. I've had people go from begging me to work for them to telling me that people that need to be paid twice a month are unstable. I'm like WTF?!! In my mind this is a part-time job and they aren't providing me with an apartment or legal working visa, so paying every two weeks seems okay.

What do you think? Is it wrong to ask to be paid every two weeks?

Payroll is monthly in China if legal. Cash on the barrel head for under-the-table jobs.

Be thankful that they're not asking you for the equivalent amount in fapiaos!

I ask to be paid weekly at all part-time jobs. Private classes too.

it's not strange. Considering how much Chinese like to withold your paychecks, I think it's a good idea to try requesting it. That way, you won't be out as much money if they decide to withold your paycheck.
