Q: Taxes and China

I'm American, so my government, unlike yours (unless your from Philippines or Eriteria), taxes me even though I am not living there and taking advantage of tax paid services.

Bullshit I know, but that's just how it is.

I have no idea where to even start with this. Can anyone give me a primer on how to pay taxes while living here?

I gave up, despite the socialistic northern paraadise I call home, doesn't want taxes but still can provides ome benefits, didn't want anything from me. I also concluded that the money would be spent on German cars anyway.

Put you money in a bank account opened by your wife (you keep the card). Problem solvedwink

Or get a second passport - they're not that hard to come by. And, this way, if you and the spouse split, s/he won't know about it! :D

The USA only taxes you overseas if you earn over a certain amount. Can't say I agree with it but doens't bother me as the UK  doesn't have thios stupid rule.

Aus has a tax arrangement - you pay taxes here on your income here, you don't pay them back home. D'uh!

So you happened upon this info and decided to act like an American. If you were american you'd understand why.

I read an article once where a German woman was helicoptered out after being taken hostage in some Latin American countryshe got a big fucking bill from the German government for 'rescuing' her.

If I went missing in some back water country and the US military got word of where I was being held, they'd send in SEALS no other country can do that.

I would never argue about that policy because I'm still an American and I'm entitled to the benefits that comes with it.

If you were really American you'd know how to go about paying and filing taxes, nothing changes.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
