Q: Is there an increasing trend of Chinese guys getting foreign girlfriends?
I see more and more Chinese man-foreign woman couples, especially in larger cities. Do Chinese men go out with foreign women out of love or is it a status symbol or ticket to the west?

Yes it seems,What I heard from some Chinese guys said mostly,they found some western women are Exotic like you guys found Chinese women are Exotic ,It's the same.and they would like to have beautiful mixed babies as well.

I know quite a few Chinse men- Western woman couples here in China. I have also encountered Chinese boys who want me to introduce them to a Western girl for different reasons like curiosity, sex, etc.
Whenever couples get together out of love, regardless of racial, cultural, political or religious backgrounds I feel it is great, because they concentrate on similarities rather than differences.
I also think it is wonderful, since Western women often times have a harder time dating in China then us men. So, when they do succeed in finding someone, Chinese or not, I feel happy for them! Maybe the fact that my sister is married to an Asian-American influences me positively, may or may not have something to do with it.
So, yes, I do see that kind of pairing more and more often and I think it is great!

I know a Chinese guy who has two coffee shops in Guangzhou,and he has been dating an European girl for years.they seem so happy together,I have heard that Chinese guy said a few times,can not wait to see his beautiful mixed babies LOL,I think they will get married soon..

Yes it is a trend, and the trend is just the beginning.
Here is the true equation for the trend :
Foreign Man+ Asian Girl = White man is pervert, yellow fever, can´t get chick at home so they go to Asia, has low self esteem, think they are wise and rich, are often backwards and strange, have few friends back home and are a bit nerdy, do not like Asian man (but keep the feeling to himself), often very sensitive and emotional, a bit hippie, and more or less thinks they live in a fantasy world.
While the equation for Asian Man + foreign girlfriend= True love and some exoticness.
This equation will give a correct (as you will see) answer since 90% of those who can´t handle the truth will make this post getting lots of downvotes.
I've got a Chinese boyfriend and I am certainly not a Russian hooker.
My boyfriend isn't rich, and doesn't parade me in front of his higher-ups. He's loving and passionate and sweet, and talks to me like an equal. When we talk about the future, he says he'd like to stay in China but he's open to traveling and living anywhere, as long as we're together, and since he studied abroad, this is definitely a possibility.
He says that Chinese girls think he's not worth dating because he can't afford a house and a car, which I think is really sad because they're missing out. He treats me better than any of my "western" boyfriends ever did.
I've also seen other white girls out on dates with Chinese men in the last few months, and I think it's really great. A lot of sweet (but shy) Chinese guys ask me how they can find a Western girlfriend, too.
What it really comes down to is this: there are good people and bad people in every culture, but if you can find someone you love, who loves you too, it doesn't matter where they come from.

On the other hand, just before I met my boyfriend, I was invited out to KTV with a good friend of mine, his girlfriend, and their rich friends. The host of the party was this 30-something nouveau riche-type who'd inherited his father's company (coal mine, I think) and liked to throw his money around. He was disgusting. Fat, slovenly, grabby, sexist....I shudder to recall that evening. I was talking to one of his underlings, who was pretty handsome, and the man kicked him out of the party so he'd have my undivided attention. He took his shirt off when i was dancing, grabbed my hand, and made me feel his gross sweaty manboob! In the end, I had to pretend I had somewhere else to go with my friends in order to avoid getting a "drive home" after the party.
On this note, a good friend of mine working in a bigger city once got a text message from a modeling agent she knew (who mass-messaged all the foreign girls she knew) and offered a "face job", going on a date with a rich Chinese man. She said it didn't matter if you were fat, thin, pretty or ugly, just had to be white...and offered "extra compensation" for "extra services"! My friend explained to her that was extremely inappropriate and illegal. Totally disgusting.
