Q: To those people that discriminate do you ever feel like you are not moving forward?

I've met people here that discriminate because of color, age, sex. In the states those three things shouldn't matter, but it seems like here some people do it anyways. I wonder if they know what they are doing when they do it. I bet they would have a huge culture shock if they moved to a place like America.

ive seen discrimination all over the world, the worst place was africa, but americans cant throw stones  when they live in a glass house.

maybe chinese are worse because of isolation but that excuse want hold water forever.

The question isn't about Africans or Americans. It is about the unacceptable levels of discrimination by the Chinese.

my point in response was its all the same , i dont think chinese are any worse than anybody else in the world, in fact i was quite shocked that south koreans are worse than chinese given their exposure to western culture.when they have to import workers for the factories or close them like japan and korea, perhaps this will change their narrow minded thinking

The question is not about the South Koreans either. Deflecting doesn't change the facts.

The levels of discrimination by the Chinese are appalling, and are stopping their country from ever becoming developed or accepted by the rest of the world.

We all discriminate; be it age, sex, race, taste in music, political affiliations, religion, fashion, economic standing, the way you hold a tea-cup, it is all part and parcel of the act of fragmentizing the world into handy bite sized chunks in the hope that we will be able to understand it better, and no, people rarely recognize that it keeps them from 'moving forward'.
